ABACUS "See Saw" Bracelet
This jewelry pattern utilizes my ABACUS bead knitting technique, the basic instructions for which are included, with photos, in every project pattern. Both knitting needles and a small steel crochet hook (for adding the beads to knitted stitches) are used to work this technique.
Because beaded rows are much taller than plain knitted rows, row gauge, although given, is not a meaningful or useful measurement.
If you are a loose knitter, you may prefer to drop down a knitting needle size to a US #1 (2.25mm)
An alternative fiber is Alchemy’s Silken Straw, and while it comes in a variegated option not available from Habu textiles, the skein size is quite large (236 yds) given that only 10 yds is required for the project. Also required is a “Big Eye” beading needle. Materials Kits to make this project in six different colorways are also available online for purchase.
