Abayomi the Agama Lizard
Say hello to Abayomi, his name means ‘bringer of happiness’ and that’s certainly what he’ll do. He loves scampering around over rocks and playing chase with the other lizards. He is so bright and colourful that he’s practically a rainbow on legs!
This pattern comes as a PDF file. Both US and UK crochet notation is available with this pattern, just choose the appropriate download after purchase. THIS PATTERN IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH.
This is an original amigurumi crochet pattern designed by me (Smiley Crochet Things) to make a lizard. The pattern includes detailed step by step instructions and pictures
Advanced beginner pattern - a little crochet knowledge is necessary although only basic stitches are required (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, and half double crochet are used within this pattern), more complicated stitches used within this pattern are described in detail. This pattern uses the amigurumi method of working in spirals.
Size (using suggested materials): 16cm (6.25 inches) tall and 6cm (2.5 inches) wide.
Materials:
- DK/light worsted (8ply) yarn in the required colours (picture uses 100% acrylic yarn)
- 3mm crochet hook
- 7.5mm black safety eyes
- Polyester toy stuffing
Any yarn can be used with an appropriate sized hook, although other weights of yarn will affect the size of the finished item. No required tension, as long as it is worked fairly tightly.
Please always check materials and current safety standards before giving to a small child.
