These unisex socks are worked from the cuff/top down to the toe. They feature a short-row heel and a textured twisted-stitch pattern on the leg reminiscent of the diamond-shaped bark patterns on young trees. This pattern is also worked on the top of the foot, with a plain stockinette sole.

S: 7” (17.75 cm) foot circumference.
M: 8” (20.25 cm) foot circumference.
L: 9” (22.75 cm) foot circumference

All sizes will need 1 skein of sock yarn to complete as written (between 400 and 450 yards, depending on size).

The white poplar (originally called Abele trees in Old English) is found throughout Europe and parts of Asia. The silver-barked trees are closely related to aspens and have a similar crackled appearance to their bark, and teardrop-shaped leaves.
