Aberystwyth Beanie
Keeping cosy has never been more stylish! Introducing my Aberystwyth Beanie with its close fit, ocean wave pattern, and rock pool crown which is evocative of the coastline of this Welsh coastal town.
Using only 90m of aran yarn, this beautifully textured hat is ideal for autumn through to spring, and can easily be kept in your bag or pocket for when you need that extra bit of warmth.
This beanie is the perfect companion for my Aberystwyth scarf and is a very quick, satisfying project for knitters of all abilities. It’s knitted in the round and is a simple combination of knit and purl stitch with decreases for the crown. It’s definitely a great stash busting project and also an excellent pattern for last minute gift knitting.
But whether you knit this accessory for yourself or for someone else, it looks amazing and is a fabulous way to keep warm on a chilly day.
Happy knitting!
