Abraço Hat (Knit)
by Sue Perez
This pattern is
available for free.
Abraço is Portuguese for hug, cuddle, or embrace - a good name for a baby hat. :)
A free pattern designed for Hats for Brazil 2015, Abraço is simple and quick to make. It features an easy lacy brim, garter stitch rows for definition, and a stockinette crown.
Hat is worked flat, then seamed; instructions are included to adjust for working in the round.
Abraço may be stitched in sport, dk, or worsted weight yarn, with the appropriate size needles. Be sure to swatch to determine finished size. (Suggested cast on for newborn size: 58 or 65 sts in dk weight yarn; 51 or 58 in worsted weight.)
Thanks for viewing, and happy knitting!
