Note the Main Colour uses up most of the yardage in these socks, you only need roughly 10g each of the contrast colours

The Castle of Abrantes was conquered by D. Afonse Henriques from the Moors on December 8, 1148. It’s located in the center of Portugal. It has two large rivers running through it, the Tagus river and the Albufeira coming from Castelo do Bode. I decided to base the pattern of these socks on the town’s coat of arms.

O Castelo de Abrantes foi conquistado por D. Afonse Henriques aos Mouros a 8 de Dezembro de 1148. Está situado no centro de Portugal. Tem dois grandes rios que o atravessam, o rio Tejo e o de Albufeira vindos de Castelo do Bode. Resolvi basear o padrão das meias no brasão da cidade.
