The Abrazo cocoon sweater is a fun and interesting pattern with a statement cable panel on the center of the back, super cozy and oversized. It is worked flat in a big rectangle and seamed on the sides leaving openings for the arms to create sleeves, and then a big collar is worked all around the sweater.
Instructions for the cable are both charted and written for your convenience.
SIZES
1 (2, 3) [4, 5] to fit a bust of 28-34 (36-42, 44-50) [52-56, 58-62] in/70-85 (90-105, 110-125) [130-140, 145-155] cm
Width measurements are not based on the chest circumference, but on the width from forearm to forearm: 38.5 (40.5, 42.5) [44.5, 46.5] in/96.5 (101.5, 106.5) [111.5, 116.5] cm
Length, including collar, is measured from the back of the neck until the hip: 34 (34, 37.5) [37.5, 41] in/85 (85, 94) [94, 102.5] cm
All SambaKnits garment patterns are #sizeinclusive up to at least a 150 cm/60 inches full bust circumference.
YARDAGE
930 (980, 1140) [1180, 1360] yd/850 (900, 1040) [1080, 1240] m of worsted weight yarn.
Sample features Reginella Lana Gruesa 100% wool 192 yd/3.5 oz (175 m/100g) in colorway Beige 33, shown in size 1.
NEEDLES
US 9/5.5 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge, circular needles with 32 in/80 cm cable length or longer are recommended to accommodate all stitches comfortably.
NOTIONS
blocking tools of your preference, cable needle, crochet hook, scissors, scrap yarn, stitch markers, one in contrast color for BOR, tapestry needle
GAUGE
16 stitches x 23 rows in 4 x 4 in/10 x 10 cm after blocking in stockinette stitch.
Changes in gauge will affect your yardage requirements and your final measurements.
