Absinthe Scarf
This scarf is affordable luxury: it uses just one skein of the decadent pure silk Heaven’s Hand Sister Silk and a skein of handpainted Black Bunny Fibers lace weight (shown in Oakdale, but any lace weight will work just fine). Start by knitting the silk base of the scarf in garter stitch, with short rows to create a curved line; then pick up stitches along one edge using the laceweight and create a graduated ruffle. Long tails make this easy to tuck around your neck -- you could also fasten it with a shawl pin or wear it like my gorgeous model did, as a headband.
Finished width: approx. 60 inches
Finished depth at widest part: approx. 7 inches
Shown in colorways Serpent (Sister Silk) and Seaworthy (Oakdale)
You will need about 300 yds of laceweight yarn, give or take and 125 of DK weight yarn.
