Abstract is a colourful washcloth/discloth to help brighten up your day. It combines three simple stitches: Garter Stitch, Stocking Stitch & 2x2 rib, to create a textured and abstract cloth.

The techniques you are required to use in this pattern are:

Cast on/off
Knit
Purl
Pick up and knit

Approximate Yardage for each colour:

Colour A = 30 yards
Colour B = 40 yards
Colour C = 30 yards
Colour D = 55 yards

This pattern would also make a great blanket square! If you changed to 4.5mm needles and made four of these squares a month, by the
end of the year you would have enough for a blanket! You
could then do the two borders, like in the washcloth pattern,
and the result would be a gorgeous abstract blanket!
