This was my 3rd Crochet-A-Long (CAL); it is over now, but you can still create something beautiful and we would love to see pictures!
See my website for the free written pattern!
My patterns can be made using the interlocking crochet method (what I call Locked Filet Mesh/LFM) or mosaic crochet. I use single-row mosaic.
You will receive 4 files:
- a chart spread across multiple pages for interlocking crochet,
- a multi-page chart with X’s marked for mosaic crochet,
- a file containing the interlocking pattern, a 1-page chart, and the mosaic pattern,
- a file containing the interlocking pattern, a 1-page chart, and the mosaic pattern, but they are written out WITHOUT THE USE OF BRACKETS.

_____
Both types of crochet work with one color at a time in alternating rows to create the design.
The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern.
Mosaic crochet is single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design. My patterns instruct you to cut your yarn at the end of each row. The back is striped but often gives a faint impression of the pattern on the front (sort of like illusion knitting). See an example here.
I have YouTube tutorials available for both crochet methods! Follow this link to get to my YouTube channel and find my other social links: https://ashleeslint.com/link-in-bio.
