Abundance Cardigan
Abundance is a top down flowing everyday cardigan.
With fitted sleeves and draping fabric, it can be worn double breasted, fastened at the neck, or left open waterfall style.
The cardigan is worked using the seamless top down method. If you are not familiar with this method, please have a look at this blog post which explains why it’s such a great way to make sweaters and cardigans!

Materials
Abundance uses 4ply / fingering weight yarn and a 4mm crochet hook.
The garment pictured (size S) used 7 balls of Drops flora but any suitable lightweight yarn which meets gauge should work. Further advice on yarn substitution is given in the pattern.
Skill Level
This is an easy to intermediate pattern using simple stitch patterns.
You will need to know how to work basic crochet stitches, work in rows and the round and count!
The pattern works in block stitch using extended double crochet (UK extended treble) stitches which is a simple modification of the standard double crochet (UK treble) (stitch description given in pattern).
The pattern calls for use of foundation chains (which are explained), but modifications are given if you prefer to work into a starting chain.
This pattern uses US crochet terms
Sizes
The cardigan is designed to be close fitting on the arms with an abundance of fabric to wrap around your body. The pattern is written in sizes XS through to 3X (bust 74-134cm)
However, because the pattern uses the top down method, you can easily adjust the fit as you go.
