Amy Daraghy, Raveler greenhook, died on December 9, 2020. This pattern has now been made free in accordance with her family’s wishes.

This highly textured shawl uses herringbone half double crochet in mesh and solid sections and punctuates the solid sections with lacy Y stitches. A delicate picot edging finishes the piece. It is worked from side to side and looks beautiful in one or two colors. Or try it with a gradient yarn for an interesting look.

Pattern is fully charted and includes instructions for an alternative to a turning chain.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner

Yarn Requirements: Approximately 600 yards of fingering weight yarn

Sample shown used 3 skeins Abundant Earth Fiber BFL/Silk Limited Edition. If you have leftover partial skeins from other projects, they could be used in the different sections for a color blocked shawl.

Many thanks to Abundant Earth Fiber for yarn support and Sue Perez (MrsMicawber) for stitch diagram creation.
