Conceived, partly designed, and occasionally knitted on in the Palace Green Law Library at the University of Durham (UK), this cardigan is simple, elegant, and light but still warm. It’s perfect for knitting and wearing when your mind is focused on higher pursuits.
The body is worked in one piece from the bottom upwards with the raglan sleeves attached as you go along to work the almost-seamless yoke. A ‘seam’ is created down the centre back using a short row method that is easier than it looks and surprisingly effective, as well as adding interest to the body.

To fit bust of 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54)”/76 (86, 97, 107, 117, 127, 137) cm with approximately 3-5” of positive ease, and minimal waist shaping.
