Cap in 6 sizes, with decorative braid on band, warm double layer head band, and spiral shaping on crown. Braid
is knitted as part of the hat – no turning to pick up stitches.
The woven braid reminds me of the thick rope on the deck of the ship Princess of Acadia, on which I have
traveled many times from St. John, New Brunswick to Digby, Nova Scotia.
Fingerless Acadia Mitts in adult M and L are available as a separate pattern.

Yarn: Worsted weight wool, approx. (136, 149, 166, 178, 186, 203)yds. Main color is a little more than half the
total yarn, Contrast color is a little less than half the total yarn. Samples were knitted in Cascade 220 Heathers,
100% wool, 220yds, 100g, and I Love this Wool Naturals, 220yds, 113g.
