In our lush, green country, bridges are plentiful. While lace can be soft and delicate it can also take on a more architectural feel, much like the angled bracing some of these bridges feature.

With its upward sloping lace giving a slightly edgy feel, Acclivity is a comforting wrap or generous scarf perfect for everyday use.

Construction
Acclivity is shallow Cresent shawlette, with a top down construction.
The pattern has you work the body of the shawl in garter stitch, forming a long shallow crescent. Once you reach a specific stitch count, an ascending lace section is knit.

When creating the large version you then complete another garter stitch section before finishing with the lace edging.

The lace can then be knit from either the chart or written instruction options.
