Accordion is a very “simple-to-knit” shawl/wrap which is constructed by repeating “yarn over twice” lace ladder stitches. By one side increasing, this shawl will be formed into a right triangle shaped shawl. The Accordion in the picture is a large version made with 3 skeins of merino/silk fingering yarn.

This shawl is easily made small or large size or any size wanted by adding more yarn.

Yarn: 2/3 (small/large) skeins of Eve Chamber Textile’s Midnight Sky 4ply (75% merino, 25% Silk) 400m/100g (437yd/3.5oz)

Other yarn suggestions: Any fingering yarn with Wool/Silk blend would do the job. Please note! The more silk is in blend, the more drapery the fabric gets.

Gauge: 24 sts x 28 rows in 10cm x 10cm (4”x4”) in lace pattern after blocking. (4sts pattern repeats 6 times in 10 x10)
