My favorite scarves are reversible, and this one is just that. It’s super easy, knit flat and lengthwise. I used a 60-inch long (150 cm) Addi Turbo Click Interchangeable cable. However, if you don’t have a long cable like this, use TWO 29-inch long (80 cm) cables in tandem with stops on unused ends to prevent stitches from slipping off. Even though a circular cable is required, you’ll be knitting flat, back and forth for the entire scarf. Easy peasy!

Do not block this scarf. It’s supposed to look 3-dimensional, and this adds to the thermal, super warm quality. This one size will work fine for children (age 10 and above), women or men. Switch to a finer yarn and/or smaller needles for younger kids. Although the yarn I used for the sample photos is called “Aran”, it’s more like a DK weight by USA standards.

To make the tassels shown in this pattern/video, you will need a crochet hook size E or 4 (US), tapestry needle, sewing thread and needle, as well as a knowledge of the most basic crochet stitches - chain, single crochet, triple crochet (US).

I designed this scarf to go with my “Everyday Anemone Hat” by Cat Bordhi. It matches the type of brim in Cat’s hat design, and the (non-raveling) tassels are similar to the tendrils on the hat. It’s definitely one of my very favorite scarves - especially in this soft, washable yarn. The color changes make it extra special.
