Achillea Cowl
This lovely cowl is an exploration of Aran Lace -- the technique of integrating lace techniques into cables.
The small cowl, shown in Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted in Campbell, a bright cheery green, has you cast on & jump right in to the main body of the cowl, and work only two repeats of the chart.
The large cowl, shown in Dream in Color Everlasting in Jeans, a lovely mix of greys, blues and faded brown, begins and ends with a lacy cabled border. Knit the bottom border first, graft the edges, then pick up the stitches for three repeats of the chart for the main body of the cowl. Work the top border by working the live stitches of the cowl main body with the edge stitch of the border.
Thanks to Annie Maloney, mzannieknits, whose amazing stitch dictionary Aran Lace is the source of the stitch patterns used.
