“ Heels may be troublesome.
Have been since ancient history and from Greek Mythology.
Many knitters succeed in any knitted heel versions, or find a favourite type heel and stick to it .
While other knitters try all possible knitted-heel-versions, only to be haunted by the .. !!!! ….selfminded holes in shortrows or whatever –no-matter-what…..
This pattern is dedicated to the knitters of last category…..
Cause you don’t really need a heel, do you?
A tilted rib drapes gently around you foot and a tight gauge prevents sagging.
These socks are inspired by Heel-less sleeping socks by Nancy Bush.
One might hope for longer socklife as heel wears differently each time used.
The tilted rib texture makes a good fit to variety of footsizes.
The pair with thinner yarn gave the better fit, probably due to tighter gauge.“
