Achteckige Decke Albrecht
Center-out octagonal tablecloth or circular shawl pattern.
Originally published 1921 in “Kunst-Stricken 1” in German with charts. However, not all the pattern is charted; some rows have written instructions only. (e.g. “purl rows 24 to 26”)
The book “Knitted Lace”, published by Lacis, has an English-German knitting term glossary, but additional translation will be necessary.
Pattern notes specify “fine yarn” (“aus feinem Garn”) and that the pattern is for accomplished knitters. There is a crochet chain edging.
Target size is 80 cm with about 140 rows, which suggests that “fine yarn” is rather finer than lace weight.
