Reminiscent of the cap of the nut it is named after, the Acorn beret is the ultimate subtle cottagecore accessory! This adjustable hat is perfect for all seasons, but especially the autumn and winter months, and looks beautiful when paired with sweaters, peacoats, and pinafore dresses. This pattern features a textured alpine stitch throughout and is worked all in one piece. It is the perfect project for novice crocheters who want to try their hand at shaping pieces while still using a stitch pattern!

This pattern is written in a “measure yourself” format, meaning it can be scaled to fit any size desired, using your choice of yarn! This pattern does NOT contain specific stitch counts, however, I have included my gauge and measurements if you’d like to follow along using the same yarn weight and hook size!

While any materials can be used for this project, it is recommended to use either a worsted (4) or bulky weight (5) with a smaller hook than what is specified on your chosen yarn label. For this sample, I used 210 yds of Lion Brand Wool-Ease yarn and a 3.5 mm hook!
