You can change the hat size (around head) by changing the needle size. If you want your hat to be taller add extra rounds before you start on the decreases.

NOTE: You want to keep the Acorns at the bottom of the hat, as this will give you the extra warmth by the ear where you need the extra warmth.

I’ve used our Hand Dyed SW Merino - Bulky for this pattern. The yarn is available from our yarn web site www.yarnhygge.com

But you can use any Bulky yarn as long as you get the gauge. Regular Icelandic Lopi works perfectly for this pattern.

I have used Natural for the back ground color and Fawn, Cool Brown, Raven for the design.
4 skeins. Although you use very little of the 3 design colors.

NOTE: Your US size 10 (6mm) circular needle for the design work MUST be 24”. Otherwise you risk the design area being too tight when you are finished working your hat.
