Acorn Pixie Socks
This is a pair of socks with pixie toes designed to match the Little Acorns Sweater. They are made Toe-up, Two-at-a-time, on a long circular needle, but can be adapted to DPs. The socks have an Afterthought-Heel or an optional short row heel.
The NB size is made with fingering weight yarn on a 2.5mm needle. the 6 mth size is made with DK weight yarn on a 3mm needle. Both sizes use just a small amount of yarn, about 1/4 of a 50g ball. I used the leftover yarn from the NB size for the first pair.
The bottom picture is of a pair of adult slippers made using this pattern and chunky wool and then felted (see projects for mods).
Now available The Acorn Pixie Sweater a unisex version of the Little Acorns sweater that is easier to knit and has a pixie hood.
