In anticipation of the arrival of my youngest, my little boy, we chose a woodland theme for the nursery and all the accessories. This inspired me to create a collection of knitting garments within the realm of the forest. One of them is this simple increase cardigan, knitted top down. Acorns Cardigan is designed for little ones, and comes in 6 sizes (0 to 6 years).
The yoke is divided into the body and sleeves. Sleeves are knitted in the round in the pattern stitch. All patterns are charted and described within the instructions.

Yarn: Any Dk yarn that has a tension of 22x30 for 10cm (4”) will do.
I used Rowan CY Cashsoft DK (57% Extra Fine Merino, 33% Microfibre, 10% Cashmere, 130m/50g);
Sublime Baby Cashmere Merino Silk DK (75% Extra Fine Merino, 20% Silk, 5% Cashmere 116m/50g);
Sublime Extra Fine Merino Wool DK (100% Extra Fine Merino, 116m/50g)

Needles: 4 mm (US 6) circular needles 60-100cm (23-40”) for magic loop
3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles 60-100cm (23-40”) for magic loop

Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows = 10 cm (4”) in stockinette or pattern stitch

Additionally needed: waste yarn or stitch holders, needle, 6 (6) 7 (7) 8 (8) buttons 15mm (0.6”) or bigger
