There are so wonderful hand dyed yarns on the market but I find that too often the effect gets lost with knitting. I wondered if I could change that. The hand painted sock yarns of Misti Alpaca were my inspiration; also because of the wonderful softness of the yarn. I have forgotten how many times I tried to get an effect I liked and ended up frustrated but then it was there and I was truly electrified!
This Ruana is very easy knitting but with the spectacular effect of a water color painting, and this is true for both sides of the knitting!

Es gibt so wunderschöne handgefärbte Garne auf dem Markt, doch ich war oft enttäuscht über den Effekt nach dem Stricken. Sehr oft kommen die Farben gar nicht richtig zur Geltung. Und so habe ich gegrübelt, wie man das ändern kann. Dabei waren mir die handgefärbten Sockengarne von Misti Alpaca Inspiration, auch wegen ihrer wunderbaren Weichheit. Ich weiß nicht mehr, wie viele Anläufe ich genommen habe, bis ich den ersehnten Effekt hatte, doch dann war er da und ich war regelrecht elektrisiert. Diese Ruana ist sehr einfach zu stricken, doch der Effekt ist der eines Gemäldes mit Wasserfarben, und das sowohl auf der rechten als auch auf der linken Seite des Gestricks!
