Adair Alpaca Slippers
Alpaca Slippers are designed to fit the foot well, especially in the heel and toe, which are constructed using basic sock-knitting techniques.
Needles
4 U.S. 7/4.5 mm dpns or size required for matching gauge.

Gauge
16 sts/20 rows = 4 inches square in stockinette stitch using U.S. 7/4.5 mm dpns or size required for matching gauge.
Skills required
Casting on, knit and purl, picking up stitches, decreasing, working in the round, Kitchener stitch (optional).
Finished Measurements
Length, unstretched: 8.5”/22 cm from back of heel to end of toe
Width, unstretched, from one edge, around the sole to the other edge: 8”/20 cm.
Best fits foot length of 8.5”/22cm to 9.5”/24 cm, typical length of U.S. womens’ shoe sizes 5 - 8. However, the length of the slipper is easily adjustable. Instructions for lengthening are included in the instructions for working the foot of the slipper.
