This is a pattern for an ornately cabled poncho. The border cables frame the poncho nicely, and the focal cable stitch is both unique and perfect for a garment such as this one.

There are various options for you neckline included within the pattern. You can elect to make this either a turtleneck, a cowl neck, or a slight boatneck. Instructions are included for all three.

There are also sizing tips if you want to change either the length or width. Further, there are instructions for an optional crocheted edging.

The two stitches are charted, and there is an addendum with the focal stitch charted in color, for those of you that find that easier to work with.

The shawl was expertly test knitted by: Teddi Sherrill, who is known on Ravelry as Teddi Bear and who can be reached at tms808@ gmail.com. The poncho was knit using Lorna’s Laces Sportmate yarn, undyed.
