dLana son Esther y Javi, una pareja maravillosa que lleva desde 2014 trabajando codo con codo con pas-tores, ganaderos, hiladores y diseñadoras para ofrecer un producto muy especial y único e incidir de forma directa en el mantenimiento de tradiciones así como toda la cadena de valor que genera y perpetúa la lana desde hace siglos en la península.

En este camino, se han encontrado con que los hombres suelen ser los titulares de las ganaderías o de la maquinaria pero se han encontrado multitud de mujeres que trabajan con cuidado, esmero y cariño. Y que con personalidad propia y una profesionalidad infinita, realizan su labor de forma silenciosa y en la sombra la mayoría de las ocasiones.

Entre ellas, hace tres años aparece ADELA, nombre que recibe este chal y mujer símbolo a la que Esther y Javi desean homenajear por su labor en el día a día y su confianza en el trabajo ganadero que desempeña para sacar adelante una ganadería lanar única en el país.

Adela es madre de cuatro hijos, y también abuela, mujer rural, tejedora, sustento fundamental del núcleo familiar, cuidadora y trabajadora.

Adela también nos evoca a nuestras abuelas, tías y a todas las mujeres de los pueblos que abren las puer-tas de sus casas, siempre cálidas e impecables, dispuestas a acoger con un plato en la mesa a quien lo necesite.

Todas ellas mantienen vivas las calles, las tradiciones, la dignidad de la vida de los más mayores o desfavo-recidos y al mismo tiempo, muchas de ellas en la actualidad forman parte de un movimiento de cambio en la vida en los pueblos tal y como hasta ahora la vivieron sus antecesoras.

Deseamos que con cada puntada de este chal Adela seamos capaces juntas de eliminar el sentido con-descendiente que mantiene la vida rural, pues en ella residen las claves de la convivencia en consonancia con la naturaleza, y de tejer un suave y bello puente entre el campo y la ciudad a través del uso de la lana Sorrosal, repleta de beneficios para el medio ambiente y tu salud.

CONSTRUCCIÓN:
Este chal se teje de arriba hacia abajo (top down) empezando por el borde superior, en el centro y cre-ciendo hacia los laterales y hacia abajo, su forma final es triangular.

TALLAS:
Talla única.

AGUJAS:
Agujas circulares de 4 mm (US 6) con cable de 80 cm (32”), o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión. Una aguja de al menos un número mayor para el cierre de puntos.

ACCESORIOS:
Aguja lanera para rematar hebras.

HILO:
2 madejas Sorrosal de dLana (100 % Merino Superwash; 220 m / 100g; 240 yds / 3.52 oz).

MUESTRA:
20 puntos y 20 vueltas para una muestra de 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4”) en punto brioche, después de bloquear.

dLana are Esther and Javi, a wonderful couple that has been working side by side with shepherds, cattle breeders, spinners and designers to offer a very special and unique product, while also having a direct impact on the maintenance of traditions as well as the chain of values that wool has generated and per-petuated in the Iberian peninsula.

Along this road, they have found that men usually are the owners of cattle farms or the machinery, but they have also found many women that work with care and affection. With a strong character and infinite professionalism, those women carry out their work in a silent manner and on the shadows, most of the time.

Among those strong women, three years ago appears ADELA, this shawl’s namesake, a symbolic woman Esther and Javi want to honour for her work day after day and their trust in her as a cattle breeder getting off the ground a unique wool farm in the country.

Adela is a mother of four, but she is also a grandmother, a countryside woman, a knitter, sustenance of her family, caretaker and worker.

Adela recalls our grandmothers, aunts and all the village women that open their doors, always warm and flawless, welcoming whoever needs it with a dish on the table.

All these women keep the streets alive, the traditions, the dignity of life of the elder and the ones in need, and at the same time, many of them belong to a movement in favour of change in small villages, the same way their predecessors did.

We hope that each stitch of this Adela shawl allows us to get rid of the condescending tinge rural life still has, as in it resides the key to coexistence in consonance with nature. CONSTRUCTION:
This shawl is knit top-down, starting at the centre of the top border, then growing to the sides and down, its final shape is triangular.

4 mm (US 6) / 80 cm (32”) circular needles, or the required needle size to obtain gauge. Needles one size larger at least, for bind-off.
