Adelaide ia a beautiful, triangular shawl with interesting construction. It is knit in two parts: first you work the garter stitch body from bottom up, then you pick up stitches for the lace part.
This pattern includes written row-by-row instructions and charts.
Yarn: Finch Yarns Single And Loving It 100% merino wool; 400 meters (437 yards)/ 100g (3.53 oz): 1 skein;
Garnstudio DROPS Kid-Silk 75% mohair, 25% silk; 210 meters (230 yards)/ 25g (0.88 oz): 4 skeins;
Or: approx. 320 m/ 350 yards of fingering weight yarn and approx. 840 m/ 919 yards of lace weight yarn; both yarns kept together;
Please, note: full 4 skeins of Garnstudio DROPS Kid Silk Mohair (840 m/ 919 yards) were used to knit the sample. You may need additional yarn to finish your project or you can omit the picot edging to save some yarn;
Gauge: 17 sts and 32 rows in Garter Stitch to 10 cm/ 4” on 4.5 mm/US7 needles, blocked;
Gauge is not important for this project but it will affect the size of your shawl and the yardage. Make sure you have enough yarn to complete your project.
Needles: 4.5 mm/ US7 at least 80 cm (32”) circular needles or needle size to obtain the gauge;
Other: 4 stitch markers, tapestry needle to weave in loose ends;
Measurements: measurements after blocking: approx. 168 cm/ 66“ wide, 80 cm/ 31.5“ long
