This pattern is for a baby beanie. Hat is knit in the round, body of hat is knit in basket weave stitch and band is 2 x 2 rib stitch. If using alternate weight of yarn, change the number of cast on stitches in multiples of eight (to correspond with decrease). Pattern includes instructions for a small newborn size and a 3 to 6 month size.
