Adfade Shawl
This specials shawl has a classic triangular shape, but with a special twist. The shawl is crocheted in the width, which creates two different lines that give the wrap its interesting appearance.
The Adfade Shawl was designed for the advent calendar with hand dyed yarns of Wol met Verve, but you can make this shawl with any kind of yarn and crochet hook.
Thanks to the simple texture, you can use all different kinds of colored yarns: hand dyed, long gradient, short gradient, stripes, anything will work.
This shawl was made with no less then 1752m (the amount of yarn from the advent calendar) and it is very large. This model can also be made with less yarn of the same yarn weight. When you use 1000m fingering weight yarn, the shawl will be around 150 cm wide.
The pattern uses very simple stitches and makes for a wonderfully mindless project. To determine when to start decreasing, you’ll use a weight scale.
