The pattern uses sport weight yarn and a size G (5.00 mm) crochet hook. It is an easy pattern that calls for only basic stitches which makes it great for beginners and experienced crocheters alike! Sweater will fit newborns to 3 month old babies. The sweater features an elegant X stitch pattern (which is basically just 2 double crochet that cross each other - instructions on creating this stitch are included), and a lacey trim around the bottom of the sweater and the ends of the sleeves. There is also a gathered draw-string enclosure which gives the sweater an adorable “flaired” appearance.
