Switch up the colors, use a variegated yarn, or even a solid color to make this fun crochet cap.

Simple changes, like using a pom pom instead of the Tassel/Braid can make this Stocking Cap become a Santa Hat, or an Elf Hat.

The original pattern used Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn but other yarns that will work well include: Cascade 220, Red Heart Soft, Vanna’s Choice, Loops & Threads Impeccable, Caron Simply Soft. I have tested the adult size with Caron Simply Soft Yarn.

If you have trouble reaching the 14 dc in 4 inches using your 5.5 mm (I) hook, move up to a 6 mm (J) hook for this project.
