This romantic vintage shawl pattern is a lovely and feminine and is very easy to make. The main part of this shawl is made following the simple corner to corner (C2C) stitch pattern; this simple 1 row pattern repeat is easy to follow and creates a very feminine design. A dainty and delicate double loop edging is then added.
This wrap is a very dainty and feminine project, and it is part of my Vintage Crochet Series.
This is a great project for beginners.
Please note that this pattern was made using vintage yarn from the 1970s, and which no longer exists. However, this yarn is a very classic light 3/DK yarn, which can be substituted very easily, and to which I have given multiple substitute and alternative yarns.
This pattern is written in US terms (British terms in brackets)
For this project you will need:
300 grams of light 3/DK weight yarn such as Bernat Softee Baby, Stylecraft Special DK or Paintbox Simply DK yarn (300 grams represents 700 yards of yarn)
5 mm crochet hook
A pair of scissors
A tapestry needle
This pattern is 8 pages long, and features lots of step by step explanations and photgraphs, and the link to a full video tutorial.
This easy project makes a perfect present.
Pattern will be available for instant download upon purchase.
I hope you enjoy it!
