Advent Baby Socks
You need less than 20g of sock yarn per sock!
Video tutorial on YouTube (link at the bottom of pattern.)
This is a simple crochet baby sock using an innovative (well, I think so, but I might be biassed) heel method. I wanted to create a crochet baby sock that looked as cute as a knitted sock - socks crocheted in bigger stitches often looked too chunky and bulky for baby feet.
In order to combat the dreaded Second Sock Syndrome, I decided to make them into an Advent calendar. I crocheted 24 (once you get the pattern down, you can easily manage two or three in an evening) and hung them up in our living room on December 1st. Each sock contained a little present or candy - one a day (no cheating!) They made a lovely and original Christmas decoration - and I already have orders in for next Christmas…
