If you don’t want to make the whole advent calendar, these stockings/beanies/mittens/scarves make sweet gift card holders, ornaments, or giftwrap accents.

I bought 7 skeins of yarn so I could have 7 different colors; by weight, I only used 4.5 skeins’ worth of yarn.

For the star, you can either use ~6 yards of a bulky yarn, or a few strands of the project yarn held together.

In addition to the dpns and 4.5mm hook listed, you may also want 12” or longer size 9 single-pointed needles (to work the scarves horizontally) and a larger crochet hook (for the star).
