Advent Chain
This is a fun project for a little bit of daily crochet in the run up to Christmas - 24 little balls of colourful yarn to turn into simple, buttoned chains. Join them together to give you a more lasting version of the traditional paper chain.
Each chain uses about 6g of DK weight yarn and a button. To use this pattern as an advent calendar you will also need tissue paper and 24 little tags to wrap and number the parcels.
There is a companion pattern to this one, Advent Chain Bag, which is a crochet gift bag big enough to hold all the little balls of yarn. You could, of course, also use a bought gift bag or box.
All my ravelry patterns are free to download but, if you enjoy them, please consider making a donation to the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, a charity which funds research and supports the families of children with a liver disease. You can do this easily by going to my fundraising page www.justgiving.com/frankiesknittedstuff
