Designed to be worn in many different ways, from shoulder warmer to cowl to snood to neck warmer. Suitable for beginners, nothing too complicated to those new to knitting, and makes colourful TV knitting for the experienced.

Can be made in as little as one skein of sock yarn (makes a thin cowl that can be wrapped twice around the neck) to 24 x 10g mini skeins - or any quantity of yarn between! So 100 to 240g of sock weight.

Gauge is unimportant.

I LOVE miniskeins, but so many people have trouble deciding what to do with them. This pattern looks great with miniskeins in speckled, variegated and solids. It can obviously also be knit in regular size skeins/balls.

Originally designed for an advent box of yarn, the grey and rainbow sample shown uses 24 miniskeins of 10g each, and the light rainbow smaller cowl uses 24 x 5g micro skeins (or could use 12 x 10g mini skeins)
