Matching ornament pack: Advent Ornaments

Description
Included in this pattern: instructions for 3 different trees, plus a train applique.

This design can be made three different ways:
1. A flat, hanging tree with button-on ornaments (1 of each tree piece needed)

1. A hanging rectangle piece with train border and flat tree sewn on top (1 of each tree piece needed

2. A dimensional tree made from 3 flat trees sewn together and stuffed. Includes a round base with train border (3 of each tree piece needed).

Materials For The Trees
The materials listed below are for the first part of this project only. See “future supplies” listed on page 2 for supplies needed to finish this project.
Yarn: 200 yards worsted weight yarn (600 yards for dimensional tree). You can use all one color or a variety.
Yarns used in samples shown above:
Green Stripes: (left) Red Heart Super Saver Spring Green, Mainstays Green (this is walmart’s brand and I really like this green)
Solid Greens: (middle) Red Heart Super Saver Spring Green, Mainstays Green
Whimsical: (right) Red Heart Super Saver Spring Green, Honeydew, Aruba Sea, Turqua, Pale Plum, Medium Purple.
Crochet Hook: H (5mm)

Measurements:
Version #1, hanging tree: small/top - 8.5” across x 7.5” tall; medium/middle - 12.5” across x 7.5” tall; large/bottom - 15.5” across x 8” tall; overall - 20” when sewn together
Version #2, rectangle wall hanging: 29” tall x 18” across
Version #3, stuffed tree: 24” tall
Gauge (not necessary but provided for comparison) - 4” with an H hook = 16 sc sts and 17 sc rows
