Adventology Scarf - Wrap
There are now 3 VERSIONS of this design … the latest of which is a WRAP measuring approx 240cm (94½’’)x 37cm (14½’’), worked using 1 x 100gm skein of (speckled) Fingering Weight yarn, & 4 shades of Rowan Kid Silk Haze (1 ball of each colour), in a wider, longer, new & interesting formation of the original design.
A 2nd, SHORTER VERSION of the original is also now included, measuring (approx) 190cm (75’’) x 30cm (12’’), worked using 25 colours measuring approx 26m (29yds) each in Fingering Weight Sock Yarn, or a total of 650m/711yds in length.
All three versions eventuated because of …
My 1st (ever) Yarn Advent Calendar purchase in 2018. I diligently opened one small package in the order they were numbered in the (25) days up to Christmas Day. I also worked on that original design each day, totally unaware of which colour combo I would be working with next. Soon, an obviously planned colour palette emerged as I progressed, & the original Adventology ‘Scarf’ was born. Approx. measurements: 280cm (110’’) x 30cm (12’’). A fairly simple, lace pattern was worked first, a much simpler variation of which, was included in the latter stages. I used all 25 colours of the 10gm (Siannys Yarnys) Yarn Advent Calendar to make that 1st version. Each mini skein was approx 42m in length.
All 3 versions are derived from the same lace pattern, which is only worked on RS rows. You should be confident in knitting lace, or at the least, an adventurous beginner.
