Adventures in Lace Sampler
This scarf was designed as a fun way to experiment with nine different lace patterns and is designed to appeal to beginners and more advanced knitters alike. Most of the blocks have lace work (increases and decreases) only on one side. In all of the blocks, the stitch count remains constant. The blocks have row repeats that are 8 rows or less. Even the most challenging block, with lace work on every row, is only a 4 row repeat.
All of the stitch patterns in the scarf would make a great scarf used singly. In the sample, each of the nine blocks is used once. I have provided the stitch multiples for each block in the event you would like to use the pattern blocks for another project. Or, increase the width and length of the scarf for a beautiful shawl.
