The contrast here is simply one of scale: classic lace-weight kid mohair and wide ribbon flashed through with metallic are both dyed in a layered color of sea-green and blue. The technique is simple: very fine-weight yarn has random sections of large scale ribbon knitted in. The effect is of waves of color on a gauze background. Need we say more?
