Inspired by the beautiful blue waters of the Aegean sea, the central lace pattern of the scarf ripples to each end where the design is closed by tall, elaborate, wrought iron gates like those fronting many old houses along the Mediterranean coast.

An option is to add pearl beads to each blocked end point to hang like water droplets and give the scarf some weight.

Suitable for most 100g skeins of sock yarn but looks best using yarn with a little sheen and good stitch definition to make this long scarf something special to liven up an evening outfit or cut a dash during the day!

PLEASE NOTE: the pattern is chart only.
