Sizes are achieved using different needle size. Pattern includes charts for both 5 and 2 color versions.

Size 1 is shown with two colors, (8400, 8010) and has a gauge of 22.75 stitches over 4 inches in pattern.

Size 2 is shown with 5 colors (8393, 9543, 9326, 9325, 1006) and has a gauge of 21 stitches over 4 inches in pattern.

Dan has a 19 inch head, both hats fit my 22 inch head.
