The pattern is designed for the lovely Létt Lopi icelandic yarn, but can easily be adapted to any yarn (or yarns, if you want to crochet 2 or 3 strands of a lighter yarn together). Just be sure that it’s a 100% wool tread (with no superwash treatment), so it can be felt.
