Aerie the Ghost Girl - Goth Doll
Aerie is a bit eerie but lovely just the same! A little creepy and kooky but oh-so-much fun! A perfect addition to add to your collection of the weird and wonderful and perfect for Halloween too!
Materials
• Worsted Weight Yarn - White
• Baby Weight/Fingering Weight Yarn - Pompadour White
• 3mm and 3.75mm hooks
• Two 18mm 4-hole buttons, white
• Two 6mm buttons, white or a 10mm white heart-shaped button (according to preference)
• Gray Embroidery Floss - I used DMC #413 Dark Pewter
• Fiberfill
• ¼” Wooden dowel, plus a tool to cut it (I use wire cutters) - or other method to reinforce neck such as wire.
• Tapestry needle, straight pins, safety pin, skewer for stuffing, pencil
Size
Gauge is not important to this pattern. The size of your finished product will vary depending on the size of the yarn and hook you use. Made with the materials listed, the doll measures 8” (not including the bow which adds another inch or so).
Pattern Notes
The pattern is written for advanced beginner crocheters and beyond (mainly because of the type of terminology used). The advanced beginner is familiar with making amigurumi and understands basic amigurumi crochet terminology and stitches as well as how to sew pieces together, finish off, hide ends, etc. If you are not familiar with all the terms used in this pattern, there are a multitude of tutorials on You Tube that can help. Also feel free to contact me with any questions. I’ll be glad to help in any way I can.
