The ‘Aeronaut’ is another manifestation of my continuing fascination with the combination of brioche and double knitting. The movement in the texture is created without any increase or decrease, by a simple cable.
The airy-light version is worked in a mohair-silk blend. However, there is nothing wrong with using other yarn variants. With thicker yarn, there would be a somewhat more three-dimensional effect; in particular, the cable would be more prominent.

Der ‚Aeronaut‘ entsteht aus einer Kombination von zweifarbigem Patent und Doubleface. Die Bewegung in der Textur entsteht ohne Zu- und Abnahmen durch einen einfachen Zopf.
Die luftig-leichte Variante ist in einem Mohair-Seiden Gemisch gearbeitet. Es spricht jedoch nichts dagegen, andere Garnvarianten zu verwenden. Mit dickerem Garn würde ein etwas plastischeres Gewebe entstehen, bei dem insbesondere der Zopf stärker hervortritt.
