The finished dove, when worked in 4ply yarn, will measure approximately 15cm high and 20cm beak to tail. This will of course vary with weights of yarn and hook/tension. For a larger bird work in double knit, aran or chunky.

You will need a 2.5mm crochet hook, Around 50grams of 4 ply yarn in white, a piece of wire for olive branch and some green yarn to make the leaves, safety eyes, stuffing, scissors and a darning needle.

This pattern is easy to follow but does require basic crochet knowledge of single, double and treble crochet and the ability to work a magic ring. Everything is easily learnt from Youtube if you are not 100% sure. It is written in US terms but easily converted to UK terms.

It is worked in African Flower shapes with instructions in written form with lots of step by step photographs and handy hints to follow for assembly.
