The finished bird, when you make it in 4ply yarn, will measure approximately 13cm high and 11cm beak to tail. This will of course vary with weights of yarn and hook/tension. For a larger bird work in double knit, aran or chunky but I cannot guarantee the end result.

This pattern is fairly easy to follow but requires basic crochet knowledge. It is written in US terms but easy to convert to UK.

It is worked in African Flower shapes with instructions in both graph and written form with photographs and handy hints to follow for assembly.
