After viewing an episode of Ironside, my son requested this hat. In the episode a gentleman was wearing a uniquely colored hat, I recognized that it was the African motif design and was crocheted. So here is my version of the hat, made from memory.

You’ll need your own African Flower motif. I’m not going to share it there is a few free ones on the internet. I used the pattern by Candi Jensen that was a How to and Easy Projects published by Leisure Arts. I found the book at Wal-Mart for $4.95.

You’ll need to know how to make the half double crochet stitch (hdc).
